Egypt
The data here covers equipment for the Army of Egypt, including the time it was known as the United Arab Republic. Egypt began the period with WW2 Allied arms but received some Soviet-bloc equipment shortly before the 1956 War. The shift to Soviet influence increased after the Suez invasion and continued until the aftermatch of the Yom Kippur War, when there was a realignment to Western suppliers particularly the USA.
